*Markings~~ Upper 2/3 white, lower 1/3 red, w/ black lantern

*Original Lens~~ Fifth Order Fresnel
*Current Lens~~ Original remains in use
*Open to Public?~~ Yes (grounds only)
*Current Owner~~ Great Lakes Historical Society's Inland Seas Maritime Museum
*Waterway Location~~ Lake Erie at the mouth of the Vermilion River
*Significant Feature~~ The original Vermilion Lighthouse was damaged in an ice storm,
dismantled and removed in 1929. After the replica lighthouse was constructed in
1991-1992, it was discovered that the original lighthouse was refurbished and rebuilt on
the St Lawrence Seaway as East Charity Shoal Light.
