*Open to Public?~~ Yes (as part of Elk Neck State Park)
*Current Owner~~ Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources lease to Turkey Point Light
Station, Inc.
*Waterway Location~~ Entrance to Elk River, Chesapeake Bay
*Significant Feature~~  Highest elevation of all lighthouses on the Chesapeake Bay. Site
of the last female civilian lightkeeper.  Fourth Order Fresnel lens, installed in 1855,
stolen from lamp soon after automation in 1947.
