*Elevation~~ 6 foot base crib at lake level
*Markings~~ Black tower on natural brick Romanesque dwelling
*Light Pattern~~ Two white flashes followed by a red flash
*Existing Buildings~~ Keeper's quarters and sound building attached to tower
*Automated~~ 1966
*Original Lens~~ Third and a half Order Fresnel
*Current Lens~~ Solar powered 300mm
*Open to Public?~~ No
*Current Owner~~ U. S. Coast Guard (on Sept. 20, 2005, The Toledo Harbor Lighthouse
Preservation Society has filed papers with the Coast Guard to gain ownership of the
lighthouse)
*Waterway Location~~ Western end of Lake Erie at the entrance to Maumee Bay and
Toledo Shipping Channel
*Significant Feature~~ When the lighthouse was automated in 1966, the Coast Guard, in
order to prevent damage from vandalism, boarded up all lighthouse windows save one.
In the one accessible  window, a uniformed mannequin  was prominently placed. "Sarah"
still keeps watch to this day.
