*Current Owner~~ Milwaukee County Parks lease to North Point Lighthouse Friends, Inc.
*Waterway Location~~ Lake Michigan at entrance to Milwaukee Bay
*Significant Feature~~  In order to make the light more visible, a 35-foot tall steel
structure was constructed adjacent to the existing cast iron tower in 1912. The tower was
then moved and placed atop the new steel base. The lighthouse is the centerpiece of
Lake Park, a 140 acre recreation area designed by Frederick Law Olmstead.
