*Significant Feature~~ The lighthouse was leased to Marquette Maritime Museum in 2002.
Because visitors have to travel through the still active U. S. Coast Guard Station, a tour
guide must accompany all lighthouse visitors due to security reasons. Renovations on
the interior of the lighthouse will bring it back to an earlier period when the lighthouse
was manned by a keeper.
