*Waterway Location~~ Entrance to Piscataqua River
*Significant Feature~~ 1) The original lighthouse, built in 1821, featured a red, white, and
blue flashing light characteristic.  The blue flash was soon discontinued due to its poor
visibility.  2) Major restoration of the lighthouse was done in 2005, due largely to fund
raising efforts by a 7th grade class in North Hampton, NH.
