*Significant Feature~~ Working closely with the U. S. Coast Guard, the Hillsboro
Lighthouse Preservation Society  has restored the lighthouse, including extensive
repairs of the Fresnel lens, and conducts occasional public tours of the lighthouse. It
also operates a museum in the old radio room.
