*Waterway Location~~ Originally in Matagorda Bay
*Significant Feature~~ Partially destroyed by a storm in 1942, the lighthouse was soon
after moved from its screwpile foundation in the middle of Matagorda Bay to land and
used as an office for a local dredging company. It was donated by the company's owner to
the Calhoun County Historical Commission, who restored it and placed it in a park.
