*Building Material~~ Wood frame
*Tower~~ 45 feet
*Elevation~~ Originally 6 feet above lake level, now at water's edge
*Markings~~ White w/ black lantern, (has faded to natural in unkempt condition)
*Light Pattern~~ Fixed white
*Existing Buildings~~ Keeper's quarters, (attached to tower)
*Automated~~ N/A
*Original Lens~~ Oil-fired steamer
*Current Lens~~ None
*Open to Public?~~ No
*Current Owner~~ Privately owned
*Waterway Location~~ Lake Superior at entrance to Munising Bay
*Significant Feature~~ Due to constant maintenance and the inability to be seen by ships
entering Munising Bay, lighthouse was replaced by Munising Range Lights in 1908 and
sold to a private consortium in 1915.
