*Original Lens~~ Fifth Order Fresnel
*Current Lens~~ VRB-25 airport beacon
*Open to Public?~~ No
*Current Owner~~ U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service
*Waterway Location~~ Entrance to Frenchman Bay
*Significant Feature~~ Lighthouse was known as "the ugliest lighthouse in Maine" when
in 1976, the lantern was removed and an automated beacon was installed. Due to public
outcry, an aluminum lantern was installed housing a new 190 mm optic in 1986.
