*Light Pattern~~ White flash every 4 seconds

*Automated~~ 1978
*Original Lens~~ Fifth Order Fresnel
*Current Lens~~ RB-300 Maxlumina rotating beacon
*Open to Public?~~ No
*Current Owner~~ U. S. Coast Guard lease to City of New Bedford
*Waterway Location~~ Acushnet River, New Bedford Channel
*Significant Features~~  Replaced the light at Clark's Point. Designed and built by F.
Hopkinson Smith who also built the base for the Statue of Liberty. The only lighthouse in
the U. S. to fly a lighted American flag 24 hours a day.
