*Waterway Location~~ Intersection of Mount Hope and Narragansett Bays
*Significant Feature~~ When the original wooden lantern rotted out, an iron lantern,
which was removed previously from
Rondout Creek, was installed in its place in 1916.
The lighthouse was replaced by a 30-foot tall skeleton tower in 1927, which was removed
in 1930 with the construction of the Mount Hope Bridge.
